Featuring: East Bay Ray and Klaus Flouride, DH Peligro, Skip McSkipster
January 17, 2015

Dead Kennedys were one of the most popular and important American hardcore punk bands of the late 70s / early 80s.  Their sound could be described as a cross between The Sex Pistols and The Ventures, and live, they are a combination of chaos and theatrics.  Their first single hit in 1979.  Their early works were known for yuppie-baiting lyrics and evil-sounding music, underpinned by an acute sense of humor, and as they grew, the musical content diversified.  Their highly unique music bears traces of surf music, spaghetti western, psychedelic rock, garage rock, and rockabilly, and follows in the footsteps of such earlier rock satirists as Frank Zappa and non-musical countercultural figures like Abbie Hoffman and Lenny Bruce.

He is one of a handful of musicians who has consistently proven himself as an innovator in between and within the worlds of rock and jazz music. Many of music's best-known instrumental masters cite Holdsworth as that rare and shining voice—a legendary player who continues to push the outer limits of instrumental technique and the electric guitar's range of tonal and textural possibilities. Particularly during the 90s, Holdsworth has enjoyed the recognition so many musicians strongly feel he deserves, given that he has developed his career outside the big label mainstream and has consistently produced his own recordings with complete creative control since the mid-80s

The Dan Band
April 18, 2015

Dan Finnerty caught America’s attention as the foul-mouthed wedding singer in the box-office smash Old School, performing his now-infamous rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart, as well as his appearance as the sleazy bat-mitzvah singer in Starsky &Hutch and again as the inappropriate wedding singer in the record breaking hit The Hangover.

What started as a drunken joke for Finnerty, singing I Am Woman at a karaoke bar has spiraled out of control into THE DAN BAND - a cult phenomenon that has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Variety, and Rolling Stone among others, and prompted Entertainment Weekly to dub it “The hottest ticket in Hollywood.”

THE DAN BAND plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York and has appeared on numerous shows including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, The Late Late Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, The Guys Choice Awards and caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce Dan's one hour concert special “The Dan Band: I Am Woman”, directed by McG.

Al Di Meola
April 26, 2015

A bona fide guitar hero and perennial poll-winner, Al Di Meola has been recognized internationally over the past four decades as virtuoso of the highest order. A prolific composer and prodigious six-string talent, Di Meola has amassed over 20 albums as a leader while collaborating on a dozen or so others with the likes of the fusion supergroup Return To Forever (with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White), the celebrated acoustic guitar trio featuring fellow virtuosos John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia, and the Rite of Strings trio with bassist Clarke and violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. And while his dazzling technique on both acoustic and electric guitars has afforded him regal status among the hordes of fretboard aficionados who regularly flock to his concerts, the depth of Di Meola's writing along with the soulfulness and his inherent lyricism of his guitaristic expression have won him legions of fans worldwide beyond the guitar aficionado set.
